Who we are
This Way Up exists to support young
people who are struggling with life
changing events such as the divorce
or separation of their parents or the
death of someone close to you.
What we do
Our team of trained volunteers go into schools, mostly in the Solihull, West Midlands area and get alongside
young people who are finding life
difficult. It might be for a short time
(a few weeks) or it might be longer
(up to six months)

Lost & Found
We've developed a course called
'Lost & Found' which we take into schools and work through with small groups of students who have lost someone close to them.
Lessons
Everyone suffers some kind of loss
at some point in their lives. We're developing some lessons to help students to understand how they
might feel and how they can find
ways of coping.
Why we do it
We do what we do because of our Christian faith and ethos.
This means that we can focus not
only on emotional issues but can talk froma perspective where we've found our personal faith has helped us.
We don't push our beliefs on anyone though and our service is totally
open to anybody of any
religion or none.
